Camp Application is a week-long college admissions workshop that complements the advice and support students receive from their high school counselors. It explains the fundamentals of the college admissions process and provides students the insight to discover ‘who they are’ and ‘how their minds work,’ the two essential qualities that all colleges want to learn about their applicants.
“Camp App” goes into detail on the major components of the college admissions process and breaks each element down into logical, manageable pieces so each student can approach their personal journey forward with the confidence that they are on the right path.
CAMP COMPONENTS
Parent Seminar: The Essentials of College Admissions
A program that acquaints parents with the college admissions process and how best to guide and support their student through one of the most important moments in their young lives.
Rising 9th and 10th Graders: Looking Ahead
A two-hour session on taking advantage of early opportunities in high school and creating a solid foundation for the all-important junior and senior years.
Rising 11th and 12th Graders: Discovering Your “What’s Next?” and “Where To?”
A complete, five-day course on the college admissions process that includes:
- what all colleges expect to find on applications,
- balancing school commitments with completing applications,
- building a list of “best fit” schools,
- populating college applications,
- crafting an academic “resume,”
- writing essays and prompts, and
- asking for letters of recommendation.
Camp Application also offers Specialty Seminars that are open to all high school grade levels and parents. They are:
